A look back at the summer 2024 events
For the last Tuesday of the summer, what could be better than a raptor-watching workshop in the Vallée des Encombres?
Accompanied by Jérémy, this summer's nature guide, we discovered all the species present in the Belleville valley, animals and insects, no more secrets for us!
With binoculars and spotting scopes, we didn't miss a single raptor! We finished the morning with a drink at the Gittamelon refuge, and many thanks for the warm welcome!

After an explanation of the rules and regulations governing fishing in Savoie, and especially in the lakes of the Vallée des Belleville, we were able to try our hand at fishing.
Well done to our anglers, who did really well and made some great catches!

On Tuesday, we visited two hamlets in the Vallée des Belleville: La Combe and Saint-Marcel.
We retraced the remarkable features of the area's rural heritage and opened the doors of two of the area's Baroque chapels.
Many thanks to David, our passionate guide, who was able to pass on his passion by transporting us into the history of our heritage. It was a timeless experience that we all enjoyed!

We retraced the fascinating history of Saint-Martin in a treasure hunt, taking in all the key historical sites. The village had no secrets left!
Next, we discovered the new bakery in Saint-Martin with Axel, who told us all about its history and presented its products (everything is homemade!). Bread, viennoiseries and pastries... and even the coffee - a very good address, but not for the faint-hearted!

Challenge met!
We climbed up to Tougnète on the cycle path with Monsieur Vélo.

How lucky we were to be able to share a timeless moment with Viviane!
Visiting her refuge Le Trait d'Union and learning about its history, Viviane made us feel very welcome and offered us a pleasant moment of sharing. Many thanks to her!

On the banks of Lac du Lou, we met the Parc de la Vanoise
Wild flowers, protected species, insects and animals: we're walking on their territory, so let's respect them!

CO-OWNERS WEEK 2024

Let's talk safety! Co-owners' Week was an opportunity to remind people about safety in homes, co-ownerships and on the slopes! We'd like to thank the fire brigade for their warm welcome and for their advice on what to do in your home. The same welcome was extended to us at the ski lift. A presentation of the job and user prevention were the order of the day. We were able to find out more about two professions that are both passionate about the same objective: the safety and protection of people. |

Renovating your home Co-owners' Week was also an opportunity to visit the new waste collection centre in Les Menuires. Are you renovating your home? Don't forget to pick up your waste collection centre card (free for Vallée des Belleville owners) so you can drop off anything you no longer need. And to give you some ideas for renovation, we've opened the doors of our show flat, renovated in the colours of Les Menuires and using eco-responsible materials. Tuesday 16 August: Orienteering at Plan de l'Eau des Bruyères and friendly drink at Télémark

‘WE'VE GOT TO STOP WITH THIS NORTH AND SOUTH CRAP! ONCE AND FOR ALL, NORTH, DEPENDING ON HOW YOU'RE TURNED, CHANGES EVERYTHING!’ Poor Perceval (Kaamelott), it's clear that he would never have been able to find the Grail, let alone finish the orienteering course at the Plan de l'eau des Bruyères. Thank goodness that wasn't the case for our four teams, who completed the course on Tuesday 16 August, brilliantly answering questions at the fourteen markers and improving their knowledge of the natural setting of the Plan de l'Eau des Bruyères without losing their bearings. For their sense of direction and their immeasurable knowledge, our teams were rewarded with an aperitif, not around the round table, but on the Telemark terrace. |

THE BELLEVILLE OWNERS' TEAM PULLS OFF A FEAT! Against all the odds, the Belleville owners' team won the Espace Propriétaires biathlon championships!
‘When I made my shot, I said to myself, ‘We'll see’,’ admitted one happy owner. ‘Biathlon is my whole life’, said another. All kidding aside, these quotes are from Quentin Fillon Maillet, five-time Olympic medallist in Beijing in 2022. But you must admit that you really got into the game on this beautiful morning of 09 August in the company of the ESF and Hugo, whom we thank for this sporting and friendly moment. A big thank you to Géraldine from Setor for giving us all the energy we needed with this breakfast in the sun. And we'll finish with this (almost) proverb: There are no bad guns, only bad shooters... something to think about :) |

THERE'S LOTS OF POO IN THE GARDEN, I'M SURE IT'S A LITTLE RABBIT... ‘I love the sky like a bird, the forests like a prowling wolf, the rocks like a chamois, the deep grass to roll in, to run in like a horse, and the clear water to swim in like a fish.’ Although this quote is by Maupassant, we could have attributed it to Mélanie Roy, Belleville's nature coordinator, who, on Tuesday 2 August, showed us the wealth of Belleville's flora and fauna with brio and passion. Thanks to her, we'll never look at poo in the same way again! |

‘MURKY WATER IS NO MIRROR! ‘While Narcissus fell in love with his reflection by the lake, he forgot that his feet were in the mud’ (Christian Castelli) This Tuesday, Espace Propriétaires invited you to find out how the Les Menuires wastewater treatment plant works, in the company of Christophe Truchet, Operations Manager for the Trois Vallées region (SUEZ) and his colleagues. Deodorisation, treatment, decantation, disinfection and biofiltration - wastewater treatment holds no secrets for us! If water always returns to the river, at Les Belleville it returns clear. |

Tuesday 19 July: Visit to Trantsa farm with Serge and Susan Jay

THERE WAS A SHEPHERD AND RON AND RON ... ... he made a cheese from the milk of his sheep! On Tuesday 19 July, Serge and Susan Jay welcomed us to the Ferme de la Trantsa in Le Châtelard. Although, like the little cat in the nursery rhyme, we put our paw in the cheese, we didn't get a stick. On the contrary, the shepherdess, far from being angry, delighted our taste buds and the shepherd woke our ears with a little accordion tune. |

MILLER YOU SLEEP... On Tuesday 12 July, we met up for a walk around the past of our valley in the company of David Dereani, a FACIM guide who was passionate and fascinating, for a visit to the Moulin de Burdin. Our meeting ended with a ‘return to the future’ and an aperitif at our partner Simple & Meilleur in the heart of the Case Blanche district of Saint Martin de Belleville. |

A look back at the summer 2021 events
On Tuesday 24 August, equipped, sharpened up and ready for battle, we once again let off steam in the bowels of Val Thorens during a memorable Laser Game session. From the youngest to the oldest in the group, everyone had a great time. Snowboardcross champion Chloe Trespeuch and her partner Yohan gave us the immense pleasure of sharing this moment with us, and they weren't the last to win! Afterwards, we were invited to Café Péclet for the aperitif we've come to expect every Tuesday...
Once again (and for the last time this summer...), we had a great time sharing and enjoying each other's company over a common bond: our love of the Vallée des Belleville. A very special THANK YOU to Chloé and Yohan for their genuine simplicity and for sharing these moments with us! We know for certain: the hallmark of our champions is humility!
On Tuesday 17 August, following in the footsteps of Andréa, our FACIM guide for the day, we discovered the mysteries of one of the 22 hamlets of St Martin de Belleville. Béranger told us all about its traditional bread oven, its 16th-century chapel that was destroyed and then rebuilt, the reasons for its architectural curiosities, the grill that covers the ancestral stones and much more... From this natural vantage point, we plunged into the Deux Nants valley from afar and admired the surrounding peaks.
The visit was rich in information and ended with the traditional aperitif, as warmly offered as ever by Art B, our partner for the day. And as you know, we can't resist good things in Savoie... Alpine skiing champion Adrien Théaux made our morning perfect by sharing this moment with us, in all simplicity and authenticity. Now we know: our sportsmen and women are not only champions but also (and above all...) beautiful people! Thank you for this moment.
On Tuesday 10 August, it was alongside 3 local champions and under the guidance of the Les Menuires ESF that we took on the role of high-level biathletes! Méline RIVAIL (biathlon), Hugo Rivail (biathlon) and Loévan Parand (alpine skiing) introduced us to all aspects of this all-round discipline. Physical preparation, self-control, body awareness, agility, alertness, endurance, skill... in short, we were able to sample all of this and take to the shooting range! We then rewarded the day's neophytes during the now unmissable ‘aperitif’ offered by LE CAPRICORNE. A big thank you to our partners of the day: the ESF for offering us this biathlon session, the BIKE ACADEMY for its electric mountain bike sessions, EASY TROTT for its electric scooter descents and SKI TOP for the Via Ferrata packs.
And above all, a HUGE THANK YOU to Meline Rivail, Hugo Rivail and Loévan Parand for their humility, their availability, their kindness and their invaluable advice. We loved this ‘Live my life’ as a young champion!
On Tuesday 3 August, we shared a rare bubble of well-being. For the second outdoor yoga session of the summer, the elements were unleashed to our delight. Sun, mountains, chirping, running water and Manon's gentle voice took us deep inside to bring out the best in us. The aperitif offered by Le Comptoir on the Croisette and the friendly welcome made our bubble of happiness even softer... in fact, we've decided to stay! NAMASTE!
On Tuesday 27 July, we went up to Val Thorens, descended into the depths of the car parks, equipped ourselves, challenged ourselves... and played! An ultra-scripted laser game in a car park at an altitude of 2,300m on a sunny day... so what? All in all, it was a lot of fun and a great way to share a good time. We then relaxed on the terrace of Café Peclet over an aperitif that was as convivial as it was generous, just like Benoît and his team - THANK YOU!
On Tuesday 20 July, the chapel of Notre Dame de la Vie and its secrets, revealed by David, brightened up our morning. Then Marina told us all about St Martin de Belleville as we wandered through the sun-drenched streets. We finished the morning in the shade of our VIP corner with an aperitif offered by Art B. A huge THANK YOU to Rafaël and his team for the quality of the welcome!
On Tuesday 13 July, the weather deprived us of our outdoor event. We rescheduled for Friday, but unfortunately the sun hadn't finished sulking yet. So we got together for a superb brunch hosted by the Alpin - Steack House in Les Bruyères. The warmth of the welcome and the coffee more than made up for the bad weather: since then, the sun hasn't bothered to sneak out! But then...
On Tuesday 6 July, we had the pleasure of sharing an outdoor yoga session, led by Manon from the Centre Sportif, and an aperitif offered by ‘Le Comptoir’. A huge THANK YOU to all the team at Le Comptoir for this lovely moment of conviviality!
